The URL is promoted through posters, banners, screens, stickers, and digital channels. QR codes on posters carry location-specific information so that incoming reports are automatically tagged with the area of the event grounds they originated from. Poster placement is adjusted to the paths, size, and usage patterns of each area so that visitors can reach the system quickly from anywhere.
Operations coordination via a central dispatch
During Kieler Woche, multiple awareness teams operate simultaneously across different areas. They are coordinated centrally via a dispatch. All reports come in there first. A map view inside the app immediately shows which area a report originated from, allowing the appropriate team to be dispatched precisely. Due to high ambient noise, initial communication happens between the reporting person and the dispatch. The dispatch then hands off to the responsible on-site team. Alongside awareness teams, medical and security services as well as youth patrols are integrated, so requests can be routed directly to the right place.
